Marta Cesar is currently Regulations and Compliance Manager at IFIS Publishing, a global
information provider and not-for-profit organisation in the sciences of food and health and
regulatory food information. In 2016 Marta completed a Master’s Degree in Food Law at the De
Montfort University with a final thesis on the shortcomings of Regulation (EU) No. 1169/2011 on
the provision of food information to consumers. She is also a graduate of the University of
Worcester; obtaining a BSc. (Hons.) in Human Nutrition in 2009.
During her career Marta has worked for major food business industries within the discipline of
Regulatory Affairs, responsible for compiling and maintaining an extensive portfolio of customer
retailer specifications, in particular, within the food ingredients & flavourings and fresh produce
with knowledge of internal auditing systems and standards. Until 2015 Marta worked for Campden
BRI with the responsibility for the provision of information, advice, training and consultancy on UK
and EU harmonised food law.
