Biography
Annette is an entrepreneur based in London, focused on enabling mainstream consumers to follow a sustainable lifestyle. Over the course of her career she has worked on sustainability-related topics across industries including renewable energy, energy-efficient building design and sustainable food.
3 years ago, Annette decided to stop limiting her sustainability efforts to her career but to also change her own personal behaviour. Amongst other things, she decided to cut her meat consumption by 80%. The big and somewhat unexpected challenges that came with this decision inspired her to start More Than Carrots, a start-up with the mission to build solutions for meat reducers who want to eat a plants-first diet while continuing to enjoy their food and their lifestyle. More Than Carrots developed a scoring system for restaurants and the team operates an App that helps diners to find ‘mainstream’ restaurants with a large variety of plant-based options.
Annette is experienced working in cross-cultural environments and multi-national teams and was formerly the VP of Marketing at Sefaira, a startup that seeks to transform the way buildings are designed by providing real-time performance feedback to architects and engineers during the early stages of building design. In her role, Annette was responsible for Sefaira’s global branding, communication and lead generation activities.
Prior to joining Sefaira, Annette worked in the energy and real estate teams at Morgan Stanley. She holds a Diploma from WHU in Germany and an MBA from INSEAD.
